Redan is a census-designated place located in eastern DeKalb County, Georgia, and a suburb of Atlanta. Redan has a total population of 33,015 as of the 2010 census. According to tradition, the name “Redan” is an amalgamation of the names of early settlers: N. M. Reid and Annie Alford. Lithonia High School and Redan High School are located in Redan.
