This 3000-acre park has more than 17 miles of trail. You can go into the visitor’s center to learn about the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. It has various items from the Civil War. You can also see downtown Atlanta and its surrounding areas from the mountain top.
The Great Locomotive Chase is one of the significant incidents in the Civil War. This museum features The General from that chase. It depicts the story of the railroads using various museum collections, libraries, archives, and special exhibits.
Formerly the Smith-Gilbert Arboretum the gardens have more than 3000 plant species and over 30 sculptures designed by some of the widely popular artists. Explore the garden and also the home established in 1880.
This 40,000 square foot skatepark has a flow course and a bowl. But, its main attraction is the Street League Skateboarding Foundation Certified Skate Plaza.
Swift-Cantrell Park is the largest community park in Kennesaw. It expanses over 42-acres and has three picnic pavilions, a dog park, a 1-mile asphalt trail, two age-appropriate playgrounds, a fitness station, a lighted skatepark, a splash pad, and an inner-loop asphalt trail. It remains open from 7 am to 10 pm.
The Kennesaw State University hosts the Zuckerman Museum of Art that features a wide collection of rotating exhibits. It also hosts various events now and then.
