Duluth Municipal Court

The Duluth Municipal Court adjudicates cases arising out of alleged violations of local ordinances and certain State laws. The Court is headed by the Chief Judge and Court Administrator, assisted by Court staff.

It is the Court’s mission to provide efficient, fair resolution of all matters coming before it, and to ensure that all Court users are afforded ready access to the Court.

The municipal courts are the largest class of courts in the State of Georgia, managing almost a million cases annually.

Objective

The Duluth Municipal Court has undertaken to provide the highest quality service to the public and the City of Duluth. Our staff is dedicated to providing an environment so as to instill confidence in, and respect for, the judicial system in general, and the Duluth Municipal Court.

It is the mission of the Court to ensure that due process of law and fundamental fairness are afforded to all who appear before the Court, and that customer service by administrative staff is given the highest priority.

The Court will continue to emphasize public awareness and education, through the development of a more detailed website and informational brochures for users.

The Court will continue to examine, refine, and further develop, as appropriate, its procedures, so that the Court may be administered in the most efficient and businesslike manner.
