Atlanta, GA (April 24, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash occurred earlier today on I-20 East in Atlanta, Georgia, injuring several drivers. The incident, which took place around 8:15 a.m., involved three vehicles, including a blue Chevrolet Tahoe, a white Ford Focus, and a silver Honda Civic.
Reports suggest that the crash began when the Chevrolet Tahoe attempted to change lanes in heavy traffic, clipping the rear bumper of the Ford Focus. The impact caused the Ford Focus to spin out of control, colliding with the Honda Civic, which was in the adjacent lane. The collision caused significant damage to all three vehicles, with airbags deploying in each of the cars.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a 28-year-old woman, sustained neck and back injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Ford Focus, a 45-year-old man, suffered whiplash and was treated at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe, a 56-year-old man, was uninjured but required medical evaluation for precautionary reasons.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Initial reports suggest that the driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe may have been trying to navigate around traffic, which led to the chain-reaction collision. Traffic was delayed for about 30 minutes while authorities cleared the scene and restored normal flow.
