Dekalb County Juvenile Court

The mission of the DeKalb County Juvenile Court is to protect the best interests of the child and the community, to restore the lives of children who have been neglected or abused, to redirect children who have admitted to or have been found in violation of the law to become law abiding, productive citizens, and to support the continuity of families by leaving children in their homes whenever possible.

Court Administration

The Court Administration of DeKalb County Juvenile Court plans, directs, and oversees the administrative staff and functions and the daily operations of juvenile court.

Court Administration ensures the timely, proper and efficient management of the court’s budget, oversees personnel administration, procurement services, fiscal management of grants, facility management and planning, and electronic and telecommunications systems development and maintenance.

Clerk’s Office

The Clerk’s Office, in conjunction with the Record’s Division, is responsible for maintaining and docketing original records for Juvenile Court. These records include legal, financial, and electronic files. The Clerk’s Office handles all matters concerning Juvenile traffic violations, probation fines and fees, as well as restitution.
